Welcome & Opening Remarks

6:20 PM - 6:30 PM
Shashank Jain, Enterprise Greenfield Manufacturing Business Leader, AWS India

Indian manufacturers have been challenged by many pressures over the last few years, from COVID-19 to the impact of conflict. IDC’s November future enterprise resiliency survey indicated that 78% of Indian manufacturers now expect there to be a recession within the next 12 months. This is resulting in an emphasis on cost optimisation, employee productivity, business agility and resilience. At the same time, Indian manufacturers are spending in cloud infrastructure and connectivity as top areas of priority as they seeks to ensure they are able to create new revenue streams and innovate. This session will explore the trends and challenges resulting from the geopolitical challenges and macroeconomic turmoil, and how organizations are adjusting strategy to mitigate negative impact, and how organizations are using digital to build resilience and enable capabilities that support future manufacturing excellence and growth.

Manufacturing value proposition to drive holistic EBITDA transformation – Covers aspects of top down messaging for manufacturing organizations to see how AWS drive 360 degrees impact on profitability and growth.

Manufacturing organizations aiming to produce more complex products on shorter timelines are harnessing digital transformation initiatives. While there is no single correct approach to supporting those improvements, digital twin and digital threads, and a mature integration between the two can help. Companies that are thinking more broadly about how to define and create these digital assets will increasingly reap the benefits and improve ROI, decrease potential errors and issues, improve design and operations as they work to build tomorrow’s products and plants.

“More than 70% of companies are still stuck in “pilot purgatory”, while only a select group of leading manufacturers are able to deploy advanced manufacturing at scale, generating new value and customer experiences within the factory or across value chains (as per World Economic Forum)”

How do we re-calibrate or are we getting it completely wrong?
